The Columbia Borough and Marietta communities are mourning the tragic loss of Anthony Stoy-Velazquez, 26, who was found dead early Wednesday morning, July 8, 2026, in an incident authorities believe may be a homicide.
According to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office, police responded at approximately 1:00 a.m. to the 200 block of Linden Street after receiving reports of an unresponsive man lying in the roadway. Upon arrival, officers discovered Stoy-Velazquez suffering from an apparent stab wound to the chest.
Despite emergency response efforts, Anthony Stoy-Velazquez was pronounced dead at the scene. The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office responded and began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
